Adam Weiner of Low Cut Connie is celebrating the Fourth by releasing his band’s eighth studio album, Livin in the USA. It’s a protest album, a party album, and a straightforward rock and roll album. In other words, it has all the elements of a Low Cut Connie record and serves as an excellent follow-up to 2023’s Art Dealers, one of my favorites from that year.
On this new release, Weiner is angry. Like, really angry. He’s also ready to rock and have fun. Much like the writer Dan Savage, Weiner wants to protest all day and dance all night.
